Can I order pies here??
Tiny restaurant in a tiny town. good food. I would say worth the scenic drive to at least try it. I was not excited that they cooked / heated our food in the microwave because it was to go and part of the Styrofoam box melted into the foods.
MoreThe food was delicious, the waitress was pleasant and the ombiance was warm and welcoming!!!
MoreThe best New Mexican food in existence. Please patronize and support them.
Family food is the best everything is great
This place is AWESOME! Love it. Ask for the Mexican Hot Chocolate 😁👍🏽😚 Don't listen to the haters!😁😚😊👍🏽🍖🥓🍔🍗
MoreSuper tasty New Mexican food in a...well used building. Definitely full of charm. We live about an hour away and eat here many times a year.
MoreGreat food and service!
Don't let the small old building fool you... has pretty decent mexican food. I'll return for tamales.
MoreGreat food, service, and welcoming/ friendly service. My taste buds are in overdrive just thinking about going
MoreGreat food & service :)
Great family-run place serving down to earth food in a very basic setting. Green Chile and rellenos are standouts.
MoreTiny. Unassuming. Spectacular. Also, cash only. They also let you BYOB if you want a hard beverage with their most excellent food.
MoreHands-down the best Mexican food I've ever had!
This place is the quintessential middle of nowhere hole in the wall restaurant. The food is amazing, the place is tiny, the lighting is bad, but if you should happen to be within 20 miles of this hole in the wall you should stop by for a damn good New Mexican meal.
MoreA wonderful little gem, off the beaten path, but very worth the drive! Great food and friendly service. Combo plates are huge and filled with food. Sopapillas are a must!!! Served fresh from the fryer with warm honey! The green chile is hot so watch out.
MoreVery good food.
Nice local place...good prices
Dinner and fresh biscochitos to take to coworkers, family and friends
People are great food is amazing, I highly recommend El Farolito
Small but quaint in a tiny town. Very good new Mexican fare and friendly staff!
Awesome family owned restaurant! Thanks for letting us in so close to closing! We would have starved otherwise. Food is fantastic!
MoreThe best tamales!!
If you want that small town authentic Mexican food this is the place to go. Small place but definitely worth the wait.
MoreWe loved this place. Great food, good service fun, cozy atmosphere. The green chili really is THAT good. The sopapillas were amazing.
MoreSo amazing. And root beer floats too? Yummm.
This place was amazing.
Every time I visit here I have to come and have the Farolito special! It is the best New Mexican food in the state and therefore the world! The service is always great. The food is fresh and perfectly seasoned. It’s a really cute place where everyone can relax and enjoy good food!
MoreWe have eaten here for years. Always good. The home made cake was killer.
excellent chili relleno and enchilada. cash only. red chili is veg. nice people big portions.
MoreFood was great...for a little dive
Doesn't look like much on the outside, but the food was good and reasonable price
MoreThis place is pure culinary bliss
Easy to miss as you drive into El Rito NM, but that would be a mistake! Superb hospitality, best burgers and home made Mexican food North of Santa Fe! Be sure to stop. Highly recommended.
MoreGreat local food. Small, homey cafe, owned and operated by a local family. Award winning chili. Offering Lunch and Dinner.
MoreGreat food love the place. The only thing is it needs more space. I know they would do great if they had a larger place. Business would be booming.
MoreExcellent New Mexican cuisine. Small, local place...nothing fancy. But the food is worth the trip. Good service. Dine in or call ahead for pickup. Be aware El Farolito accepts cash only. No credit cards. Note: not terribly wheelchair accessible.
MoreIt usto be a gd place to eat but it's gone down hill green chile looked like a stew to watety
MoreWhat a surprise! Yes, when you arrive you may think, this can't be it, but, YES, this tiny place that looks like possibly an empty, closed business, IS in FACT a place you don't wanna miss! Could be cleaner (the mustard on the table looked as though the former user change vehicle oil and then had no time to wash hands before needing a mustard fix) but fast friendly service and possibly the best New Mexican food you'll have. Yummy burgers, even better onion rings and the coldest pop you'll find anywhere. It's an experience and DEFINITELY one for out of state, country, wherever, guests. Make sure to bring cash, they don't accept debit or credit cards!Enjoy, and take pictures!!!UPDATE! Second visit was during the Studio Tour. Food just as yummy, burger wasn't quite as delish as the first, and no onion rings, but the other dishes, spot on!!!
MoreGreat NM cuisine, like grandma's home cooking.
I had biscochitos & pistachio cheesecake .....this place is a gem. ...leave Pojoaque,NM about 9 or 10a and see the most amazing views before you arrive to this place for some great food! ..w/ nice, chill ppl!!
MoreBest burgers
Typical mexiacn food loved it
Best place ever great food and service
It's a hole in the wall type place. But the food is fantastic. Their green/red chile is hard to beat. When we go to Ojo Caliente to soak in the hot springs we like to swing over to El Farolito for some great mexican plates. Their fries are great too!
MoreGreat food. Really affordable.
Loved It! We shared the combo plate and a cherry pie between the two of us. Hands down the tastiest New Mexican food I've had to date. And I am not a dessert consumer typically but the pastry on the pie tasted like Scottish shortbread. Unreal! So delishious! This is a very inexpensive stop and worth every penny. A must stop on your travels!
MoreFood is tasty and hits the spot. BYOB. Enjoyed chatting with the owner and his family, who run the place.
MoreWow!!! So good ! Go go go go !!!
We went to el rito for our honey moon we had only one restaurant we were interested in visiting and boy does El Farolito live up to its expectation ABSOLUTELY AMAZING FOOD! Only down side is we live 17 hours away. But be assured we will be back!
MoreService was poor. The food was pretty bad as well. Maybe at one time this was a worthwhile hole in the wall, but that was not our experience. Waited for over an hour for food. Then inevitably the stuff was cold when it arrived. I asked the server if guacamole arrives before the entrees here and after informing me that they were busy and then texting for a few minutes brought the premade dip out. It was frustrating to watch. If you do go, bring booze and wine to help your suffering.
